Question: "When one changes one's name to create more
constructive conditions in one's life, is it the sound
vibrations of the name or just the psychological influence
that affects the individual's brain cells and changes the
life pattern?
"Answer: The influence of the change goes deeper than its
effect upon the sense of hearing, although sound plays a
very vital role in life. It manifests through the principle
of mathematics, which is the dimensional law through
which all forms of life come into being. Of course, there
is form that is not discernible through the eyesight, for
instance, energies, sound, odour, and gases; there are
light vibrations that we cannot discern through the
sense of sight; and there are the emanations or vibrations
given off by minerals and other forms of life. The Kabalarian
Philosophy concentrates its theory of name influence
upon the conscious form of life called mind; it too is
form, but of a more abstract nature, i.e., mind is better
understood as a spiritual power that, through involution,
has become the conscious channel of expression
through which abstract or spiritual forces of
consciousness may manifest thoughts, experiences,
language, and concept through brain impressions.
Mathematics measures and defines these different
planes of manifestation and, in the case of mind, it
classifies the many dimensions of thought and
discloses the spiritual power and influence behind or
comprising each letter.
Each number or letter is a certain gradation in the
scale of being or mathematics; thus, when a name is
attached to the brain cells of an individual through the
law of association, the individual and collective
impressions or vibration of the letters are registered
upon the brain cells, thereby creating a specific
degree of intelligence relative to the combination of
letters. A person without sight, hearing, or speech
reacts to his name and becomes the exact type of
intelligence relative to the name vibrations, provided
the brain can be reached through a touch system of
the alphabet. A person living alone in the woods all
his life and not hearing the vibrations of his name
would still exactly personify the characteristics of
the name, and the bodily functions would register
the sickness relative to the particular name
combination. You see, mathematics is not only a
means of measurement of quantity, but is also a
measurement of spiritual values; it is the law through
which God the Cause becomes effect through
language. Although mathematics may be used as a
measuring stick to determine the nature and
dimension of materiality, each number and letter
symbolizes a divine power unto itself; it must be a
divine power to create intelligent measurement and
analysis. Through analysis one's mind may be
revealed.
The Kabalarian Principle of name is not based
on euphony, but upon the vibration of intelligence
as expressed through mathematics and language
attached to the brain cells, through association
to create a human mental existence. The keys
on a piano do not create a symphony but they
set in motion the vibration of sounds emitted by
the strings but controlled by the notes: A, B, C, D,
etc."

Symbols of Expression
Mind is an analytical power which works through the
power of deduction and comparison, which can come
only through reason and logic. To cut a long story short:
it matters not what Consciousness is, but how does it
manifest, by what means and form? The answer is
simple: There could be no thought, action, or awareness,
without the means to form words and sentences; and to
express any inner or higher power of Conscious
Intelligence one must have the means to think and speak
and reason. This is called the alphabet. We all know that
Consciousness is higher and greater than its symbols
that give it expression, but we in our ignorance must
approach God through the means of intelligence--the
symbols of the alphabet.
Even a musician must use the alphabet through the
keyboard of the piano to express a musical composition.
It is the same with mind; it cannot express without the
use of alphabetical symbols; even though one may
not read and write, he still must use the alphabet with
which to speak.
We are told in Free Masonry that, "Everything lies
veiled in numbers"; another saying is: "Numbers
are the pathway to God." We cannot see God,
but we can scan his works.
When the question of mind comes up, too little attention
is paid to the means of conscious expression, language;
it is the only means of translation from impulses to
thought and expression--positively the only one.
When a child is born and takes a first breath, there is
a natural conjunction of two different planes: that of the
physical, and that of the abstract, or that which gives
life through the breath to allow the child to be an
independent living entity, although not a conscious one.
The latter can come only through the attachment of
the Power of the Word or language to the brain cells
of the child through association of the name.
Thus is language the symbol of intelligence. It is the
direct connection between the source of intelligence
and the human brain. Perhaps we should understand
much more about language than we do. It is only
as a musician understands the theory of the notes--
A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and the mathematics of the
stave in music--that he is able to create harmony
and balance. Perhaps, as we understand how to
bring harmony and balance into human mind through
the only known means, language, through the name,
will we be able to eliminate schizophrenia and other
discords from the earth.
You very often wonder how the minds and
intelligence of children are so diversified, even in the
same family; how some children can be made to
obey, whilst others are incorrigible. Yes!
Language, referred to in the Scripture as the Power
of the Word, has a great deal more influence in
human existence than is generally understood.
It is said that millions of songs have been written from
the one octave of music. Millions of human
symphonies have been composed from the alphabet,
but rarely are they harmonious or balanced; the
discords are the human degeneration, sickness,
disease, insanity, and all the errors of human mind.
Language is the symbology of life.
3) The Involution and Evolution of Life

The oneness of the Principle of Being can best be
understood by studying the individual steps or
phases of the abstract involving into the finite
and of the finite evolving back to the abstract.
Abstract
By its very definition the abstract cannot be
defined in finite terms. It is beyond our reach
as mortal, finite beings. Reasoning allows us
to understand the qualities of the abstract as we
measure the expression of it in the finite realm.
Certain terms such as "without form and void",
"eternal", and "unknowable" are typical finite
terms to explain its variance from the reality
of form. True reality, of course, is the
abstract, for it is permanent, unchangeable, and
constant. The finite plane always is in a state
of flux, and what is real in the sense of form
and dimension today will be different tomorrow.
Thus finite reality is temporal, a state of truth
in motion, reflecting the principle of involution and
evolution contained within the abstract. The
attainment of Consciousness is the closest mind
can come to the abstract plane.
Take the example of a kernel of corn, planted,
cultivated, and harvested at the conclusion of
its growth cycle. The harvested kernels, the
ultimate stage of growth for that form of life,
are finite, yet contain within themselves the
abstract power of Reason, which is awaiting the
appropriate conditions conducive to the
germination of the seed and transformation of
the abstract into the finite. The abstract
potential in the kernel contains the complete
intelligence or Reason for the full growth into
the form of germination and the intelligent
control of the growth of the plant to lock into
the developing kernels the intelligence of
Reason, that establishes the continuity of the
life cycle of the corn plant, linking the
relationship of Reason and reality through
involution and evolution.
Human mind is the growth of the spark of Reason,
which is involved within the finite body with the
intake of the first breath. The mathematical
intelligence of language and of the name linked to
the individuality of the spark becomes the structural
form of thought, mind, and personality, creating the
individual expression of the evolving quality of
Reason.
The abstract potential of Reason is linked to that
spark of life, awaiting the growth and development of
mind to be the vehicle for the expression of that Reason.
When mind has evolved through an expanding concept
of the understanding of the Principle of life, it reaches
a state of Consciousness, containing within itself the
awareness of Reason, the abstract plane, and all the
aspects of the Oneness of Being, but dependent upon
the expression of mind to bring that level of understanding
or quality of intelligence into expression.
Like the harvested kernel of corn, Consciousness attained
through mental development contains the intelligence of
abstract Reason, but is limited to the process of involution
and evolution to bring that Reason into reality.
Consciousness is the link between the duality of bring, the
abstract and the finite.
