Constructive Thinking
© Alfred J. Parker

The ability to think logically is priceless.  Millions of people think they think, but few create anything new in the way of theory or ideas, for thought must be molded and correlated in a definite pattern with continuity.

Concentration is the ability to focus upon a train of thought to the exclusion of all else.  This allows one to see a subject in microscopic detail and to become fully conversant with the object concentrated upon.  There is danger even in concentration:  one may concentrate so intently upon an idea that it becomes an obsession.  One may concentrate upon emotional thoughts until the mind becomes moronic and a menace to society.

Concentration is not necessary phenomenal.  It is essential to constructive thinking, but must be imbued with a vital factor:  an ideal.  An ideal will lift the thought into a definitely objective plane; the ideal will supply a spiritual quality.  An ideal should be the nucleus of the process of thought.  With that nucleus, there must be applied concentration, followed by action to make the ideal a reality.  How essential it is that the original thought be constructive and not destructive!  The thinker must focus his vision upon attainment also, no matter how great the idea and the ideal.  Step by step he must think it out logically, with a balanced mind, and step by step he must follow it through to attainment.

The creation of living thought is a very serious and vital subject to which all should give serious consideration if we desire to advance mentally and spiritually, be successful in our undertakings, and live a full and complete life.  Thought is a divine power which can create constructive or destructive effects.  It is constructive, creative, and progressive only when governed and guided through an ideal, and brought into reality through mental concentration and physical effort.

Do not lead a purposeless life.  Neither live for self nor for the aggrandizement of one's self of personality.  Without an ideal the mind is like an empty vessel, giving an empty, hollow sound when tapped.  Life is a school of learning and of endeavour.  Let each day add at least a crumb of constructive mental progress.  Let us become mentally creative, for we cannot hope to advance and add anything to the sum total of human progress by repeating, parrot-like, the creative thoughts of others.

Life and thought are like a kaleidoscope; every turn and twist of the prisms brings to light new and beautiful forms and patterns, new shadings of thought that broaden our perspective and elevate our minds into new and higher planes of inspiration.

We encourage you to look into the universal principles taught in the Kabalarian Philosophy to learn to understand yourself, your family, your friends, and your business associates in a way you never thought possible.  You will learn to understand the importance of your thinking in the creation of all the experiences in your life.

Common Sense
© Kabalarian Writings

The Kabalarian Philosophy brings the common sense of refined living back into expression and provides a logical, intelligent way of life, which assists each person with an automatic pattern for physical, mental, and spiritual progress leading to the attainment of life's purpose.  We must work to reverse the degenerating trend by exemplifying the common sense in constructive living.

Remember that one constructive thought directed with specific purpose has far more impact and achieves far greater results than the confused thoughts of general emotional discord.  Therefore, our individual thought with its specific purpose has much greater effect and and therefore has much greater importance than the confused thoughts of mass-mindedness.

One constructive thought can lead confused thoughts into order and accomplishment.  Let our thoughts lead the way towards constructiveness.  Let our actions be the exemplification of our constructive living.  Let our lives be the expression of our highest potential.

The why of life no one knows.  But the way of life can be understood, for it represents the path of unfoldment of the Universal Spirit through its myriad channels.  The human mind may perceive an understanding of itself and of the natural laws that govern all forms of life.  The power within humanity is like the power in the seed that produces species.  But in people this spiritual power is limited in expression to the degree of balance of mind.

Arthur, Paul, Claud, Prudence, Georgiana

These people experience opposing qualities in their natures: the desire for system, concentration, settled conditions, and step-by-step progress, and the urge for change and new experiences. As a result, they do not find it easy to be happy and content but feel frustration at times in trying to understand their turbulent feelings and thinking. They are analytical and matter-of-fact, and have interests along scientific, technical, or mathematical lines. They enjoy hobbies that are creative but practical. Unless they have other qualities in their names that offset the practical influence, these names do not allow them fully to develop their depth of appreciation for philosophy, music, or the arts. Although they are curious about life, they must first be interested in a subject through facts and details before they will pursue a line of thought. Obscure theory and imaginative speculation are not of interest to them. They could be exceptionally brilliant in any subject or activity that holds their interest. They are exacting, capable, and efficient, appreciating routine and a certain consistency of effort. Efficiency is important to them. It is difficult for them not to become irritated by the ineptitude and carelessness of others.

When given a challenge, they are thorough, persistent, and conscientious, but once the challenge wanes, it becomes an aggravation to carry on. They scatter their efforts and find it extremely difficult to finish what they start. That is when their qualities of impatience and discontent may express, and they begin to desire something new to offset the feelings of limitation and restlessness they are experiencing. On the other hand, many times they are taken into new experiences before they have had a chance to complete a current undertaking satisfactorily, and that also creates frustration. However, they can be rather impulsive and there are times they make decisions and regret them. Rarely does an accomplishment bring them satisfaction, as they are extremely analytical and demanding, of both themselves and others.

The practicality of their names inhibit their deeper, softer, affectionate feelings towards others. They are inclined to be candid in speech and manner. They show their love for family and friends in what they do for them rather than what they say. Delicate matters are not easy for them to handle with finesse.

They enjoy the outdoors and could excel in sports activities. They have boundless ingenuity and nervous energy. Sometimes they find it hard to relax their mind or body unless they have reached the point of exhaustion.

Mostly they appreciate a settled home environment, an occupation that carries a certain challenge and opportunities to develop practical skills. However, because of the opposing qualities in their natures, rarely are they completely satisfied with their lot in life. Being independent and somewhat set in their ways, they do not change their mind readily once they have formed their opinions. This turmoil of opposing forces affects their nervous systems, causing tension in their stomachs, and intestinal or generative organs.

Questions?

What is the Kabalarian Ethics of Right Thinking?

The Kabalarian Ethics of Right Thinking, written by Alfred J. Parker, is as follows:

Appreciate and respect the Power of the Word (speech); never misuse this power by swearing, vulgarity, lying and deceit, falsifying another’s statement, or destroying the reputation of others.

Strive to govern moods and habits so as to create peace and happiness with others through happy, constructive thoughts, through little acts of generosity and service, and through seeing good and God in others. Acts of giving never go unrewarded.

Always endeavour to develop an open mind, giving credit to others for mental effort even though they may not as yet have discovered the true light of wisdom.

Stand in awe at the threshold of wisdom in humbleness and in deep respect. Remember that wisdom expressed through you is not of your creation but always was. Your endeavour to fit and balance your mind to your higher consciousness of wisdom is your sacred duty and not optional.

Only through constant striving to eliminate bad or negative thoughts and habits can your mind feel justly proud to be a sacred part of Divine Consciousness. A mistake sometimes occurs – it is not evil – it may occur through wrong evaluation or comparison, or through undue optimism. A first mistake may be classified as an error in judgment if a lesson is learned from the experience; if not, then it is a conscious mistake upon a negative plane of mind, and serious and punishable through the law of reaction and your conscious realization that you deliberately created your own test and must now find a solution.

Kill out ego and false pride. Never take the know-it-all attitude, for to do so is to kill out natural incentive and progress.

Remember that your mind is the greatest instrument in the universe. As you think, so are you, because the nature of your thoughts indicates the plane of mind to which you are tuned; thus, your thinking and you are one. If you did realize the power of your own mind for good or destructiveness, you would check every thought and utterance. Do not say wrong or hurtful things for fun or to build up your own importance. Remember false pride comes before a fall. Never negate your thoughts and ideas; never say "can’t" or depreciate your ability to equal or better the performances of others. What others have done, you can do, and do better, but do not say so; prove it in greater application than others, for only by effort and application shall your works be known. Never say idle and boastful statements; say only that which is logical and truthful. Learn to know when to speak, and always express your thoughts in a refined and dignified way so as to leave the best impression.

Be systematic; proceed step by step, and learn to finish the things you start. Never make a promise that you cannot, or do not, intend to carry out; thus will you always speak truth. Align yourself always upon the side of justice, truth, and honesty. Do not meet others upon the plane of anger, wrongdoing, or thoughtlessness. Always use the power of analysis, particularly when in doubt. Never attempt to alibi that which you know is wrong. Keep your mind always upon a constructive plane of thinking. Remember your sins will always find you out.

Always seek for an ideal, an objective, and the proper method of application. Create a refined and individual personality, a happy and generous one. Develop clean and tidy habits, body cleanliness, and a clean mind. Be conservative, yet creative, in your dress. Avoid showiness in dress and loudness in speech. Make others want to pattern themselves after you: that is a well-deserved compliment, and indicates adherence to Kabalarian ethics of right thinking.

Plan with Confidence
© Kabalarian writings

Your feelings, thoughts, and actions are influenced by the cycles of time.  Whether or not you are aware of these patterns, they shape and affect conditions in your life.  It is important to know the nature of your own personal cycle, for then you are better able to plan, act, and make decisions with confidence to ensure the success of your activities.

Cycle charts are available to help you plan and act at the best times.  By following your cycle, you can be assured of success.  Success in nature results from planting at the right time, caring for that which has been planted, and harvesting at the most propitious time.  This same law applies to our plans and actions.
