Questions and Answers ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The last newsletter emailed a week ago prompted many questions from our subscriber network. M.R. asks: 1. Can Kabalarian Philosophy help a person see his or her authentic self more clearly--the pluses and minuses--the higher self? Yes, one's true purpose or authentic higher self can be understood through a mathematical analysis of one's date of birth. Whether the qualities felt within are expressed or not is dependent upon the names given, for the names create the quality of the mind, and the means by which the inner nature finds expression. The name given should be in harmony with one's purpose. When the name, which creates personality, is in conflict with the inner qualities, then frustration and unhappiness results. One is drawn into experiences and jobs that are not in sync with one's true role in life. L.J. asks: 2. According to Kabalarian Philosophy, when a person changes his name, will the vibrations of the original name nevertheless resonate through his life? Doesn't the original name get 'attached' anyway to the person? Please explain. Yes, the original name will still have a bearing after one changes his or her name, but will become less influential the longer one uses the new name. Also, with a balanced name, one can bring out the constructive characteristics of the old name, and eliminate the negative qualities. We then can benefit by the positivity that was a part of the old qualities. This transition comes in understanding the attitudes and habits of the old name through understanding the Mathematical Principle as applied to name, and how to be proactive in changing one's thinking. A balanced name harmonized to one's inner potential is a powerful influence for growth, happiness, and success. When a child is given a balanced name from birth, it is amazing to see how quickly the child's intelligence expresses, the state of stability, happiness, and the sense of responsibility that develops very early in life. V. asks: 3. Will the names not used (like a middle name) affect a person's personality? No, if a name given is not used, it remains a dormant energy and will not affect one's personality qualities. 4. A lot of the names on your website seem to have negative connotations. If there a perfect name combination? How many symphonies could be played in complete harmony without an understanding of the arrangement of music? Each note in sequence is a mathematical degree of sound energy. When combined with understanding, beautiful symphonies of harmonic chords can be created. Without understanding, discord in sound is the result. As long as names are given without an understanding of the Mathematical Principle as related to the degrees of intelligence depicted by each letter in any alphabet, how often can we expect harmony when we put letters together to product a name? Each letter expresses a quality of intelligence. If we learn to understanding the qualities expressed by each letter, then a name can be created that reflects the harmony, stability, and confidence, and serve its true purpose as a medium through which we may express the qualities of the inner potential or purpose. There is a name combination that is best suited to each person. However, we cannot sit back and think it is the perfect name. Now we will be successful. It still requires effort on our part to be logical in the decisions we make in our lives, etc., but with a balanced name, barriers that once hindered progess despite all efforts, will be lessened. Is there a way to determine what work is most compatible with one's inherent nature? Yes, the measurement of the date of birth reveals intrinsic qualities and where a person would be best suited. Focusing on life's beauties, getting out into nature, giving to others in less fortunate circumstances helps to lift the mind to bigger concepts away from the problems of everyday living. When the mind is free and relaxed, that is the time to think about solutions to problems. These are ways to "cleanse" the mind. 7. What do Kabalarians do when they find themselves overwhelmed and confused? Is there a certain practice or process to help one get life in order again? Kabalarians are taught to measure life according to basic principles that provide a measuring stick for one's thoughts and actions. Being overwhelmed and confused can happen to everyone at times. Kabalarians practise daily deep breathing and relaxation exercises that help to calm the mind and revitalize the body so that one is able to think clearly, to sort out problems and find solutions. They take seriously the concept that happy thoughts are healthy thoughts. Being happy isn't being giddy and foolish, but expresses as a quiet inner peace, contentment, and patience despite the challenges of living. Stressful thinking destroys the cells of the body and creates sickness. It spoils one's ability to handle challenges with people, for example, in a relaxed and non-con- frontational way. Kabalarians practise supervising their emotions so their minds and bodies are not destroyed by temper, hate, resentment, criticism, etc. They learn to express their emotions on higher levels of creativity, compassion, humour, and happiness. They follow the Cyclic Law to understand the quality expressing through time in order to plan and prepare for the strong times and the testing times. They use the cycles to plan their future relative to the natural rhythms of nature to avoid confusion over the future. K.K. asks: 8. How do I know when something about myself is purely right? How does my name fully affect my destiny, and if so, does that mean there is nothing I can do to change that? To truly understand oneself, we need to study the Mathematical Principle, to see ourselves objectively--strengths and weaknesses. When we understand ourselves, we have a better idea of what would be "right" for us. One's destiny is revealed from the names used. The combined names show the ideals and types of people one attracts and shows the line of work and path in life one follows. The destiny number shows one's standing--whether one's life is progressive, limited, successful, or beset with problems.
