Attitudes
and Habits
© Alfred J. ParkerThoughts
for Youth
One should always approach one's tasks with interest,
and with the thought that, "What is worth doing, is
worth doing well." Mind is a funny thing and
sometimes a creature of habits; i.e., it can fall into a
pattern of thinking and of doing things. In some
respects this is good, although not in all things.
System and order is good, but if too much of it, it
spoils imagination and creative thinking. Thus you
see that mind can be very versatile and can change its
attitude to certain tasks and to planes of
thinking. There are some tasks that do not require
much concentration, for instance, cleaning up, washing
dishes, dusting, etc., and working with some machinery
where the work is under your supervision. In this
systematic work, mind does things automatically in
system and order. Whilst you are doing this work,
your mind is free for thinking of other things, perhaps
a little more pleasant.
Let us adjust our
thinking to the tasks ahead of us and always approach
them in a happy state; life is full of many things, and
there are some things that we like to do better than
others. So as to balance all things, and make all
tasks easier, let us lump our tasks together--the happy
and the monotonous ones--and imagine we are painting a
picture that requires many strokes of the brush to
complete; any strokes left out would never allow the
picture to be finished. Life is like that picture;
it is filled with many and varied experiences, and if we
desire to continue to live, all experiences must be met
with resolution and interest. Sometimes we can
learn by doing the things we could dislike doing.
Not liking or liking things is merely a plane of mind in
any case, a passing emotional thought or mood, just the
way we feel.
If we desire to live a
full and happy life, we must be ready to face any and
all experiences with happy thoughts; taking the bad with
the good and being happy to be living.
There is
another point of interest in attitude. How can we
know just how good something could be, without the
comparison with the bad? If everything we did was
good, we would never know which was the best because
there would be no comparison for measurement and
distinction and then the best would be as monotonous as
the worst, for there would be no variation.
Variation is the spice of life, through which we learn
to be ready for all contingencies; i.e., we must always
learn to master our situations.
We can always succeed in
our tasks if we approach them upon a relaxed and happy
plane of mind. Have you not noticed how, when you
are in a bad mood things do not go right? It is
then that the most simple tasks seem impossible.
Actually, when negative in your thinking, you are
subconsciously telling yourself that you cannot and will
not do it, and then you become belligerent and look for
an argument. One can never accomplish under these
mental conditions.

"What has
mathematics to do with human problems?" you may
ask. The answer is, "Everything."
There would be no physical and material existence
without it, for it is the law of dimension through which
the abstract becomes finite and measurable; it
symbolizes the quality and quantity of life, the reason
of being and being itself. It is the key to
scientific progress in every conceivable form. It
is the basic principle of speech; this fact is
completely overlooked. It is the universal
language, the same in all countries, in all ages; it is
unchangeable and immutable.
Everything is
measured: time, space, density, speed, length,
breadth, circumference, vibration, chemical elements,
colour, sound, light, odours, explosive power,
compression, electricity; liquids are metered; blood is
measured and counted; all fluids of the body are tested
mathematically. Atmosphere, humidity, heat,
mechanics, construction, all chemical formulae are
mathematical. Emotion and brain waves are
mathematical; the heart beats rhythmically or
mathematically; blood flows through the body at a
certain speed, (mathematics). Our feet move one
step at a time, and it takes so many steps to cover
distance; all distance is measurable, or it would not be
distance. The letters of the alphabet all have
their specific mathematical position from one to nine;
all words are numbered through their letters. The
inflection of the voice is measurable.
Everything you build or
buy is measured not only by its length, bulk, weight,
quality, and capacity; you can buy milk raw, and then it
can be pasteurized or homogenized: these are added
which means included (mathematically). There is
not a thing you can speak of that is not basically
mathematical, including the monetary values, interest,
loans, payments, etc. Our whole body is
mathematical dimension because it could not exist
outside of dimension; even a ghost can be seen, thus
showing mathematical dimension. To beg, borrow, or
steal includes mathematical qualification, and the state
or quality of the mind in each case.
No matter how you figure,
mathematics is included--even the quantity and density
of the air you breathe, your degree of sight, and the
amount of your appetite, or capacity for liquids, the
extent of or degree of your smell and taste.
Try to separate anything
from mathematics and there will not be anything left,
not even a degree of your intelligence or sense of
humour. No wonder it is a divine law of being, not
merely a man-made principle of measurement. It is
truly the universal language; even the state or balance
or discord is mathematics.

IVAN, WALLY, BARRY, DAN, PETER, RALPH, ALF, DAVIS,
HARRIS, PAT, NETTIE, HILARY, CECILE, GERTIE, KAY,
SYLVESTER, MAVIS, MINA, MEREDITH
These people are independent, positive, tenacious,
and self-confident. They are inventive and ingenious
along practical lines, and they learn from their own
experiences. They enjoy working with their hands, adding
originality and novelty to their creativity.
They prefer to develop their own businesses or work
in areas where they have a degree of authority and
freedom from restrictions, preferably outdoors. Their
independence and self-reliance do not make it easy for
them to accept advice or the opinions of others. Outdoor
activities such as exploring, camping, hiking, or
climbing are pursuits they enjoy as they provide an
outlet for their active, vital natures. They do not like
crowds, they like to be on their own or with a few close
friends. They appreciate a simpler life.
At times, they are strong-willed and argumentative,
saying candidly and to the point exactly what they
think. As it is challenging for them to express
emotional sentiments, they avoid such situations if they
can. They feel awkward and embarrassed because they
recognize their verbal restrictions, at times, in not
being able to be as diplomatic, sympathetic, and
solicitous, as others would like. Sometimes this lack
within them has caused friction and misunderstandings in
close associations. It is not a part of their natures to
observe and return in kind the little attentions and
gestures of affection of close associates. They can take
candidness from others as they are not easily hurt. They
appreciate honesty and they are loyal to friends and
family and will go to great lengths to help someone in
need. They do not depend upon others for encouragement
or sympathy to give them the will to carry out their
undertakings. Sometimes they are too forceful with those
who mean the most to them and misunderstandings arise
because they find it a challenge to understand the
nuances of feelings and needs of sensitive natures.
This name has not made them naturally theoretical or
philosophically inclined, as it restricts the
development of a depth of perspective and vision and
tends to make them self-oriented and limited at times to
their immediate responsibilities. They do not tend to
enjoy long-range planning, but they are very willing to
work hard today to create the tomorrows. They gain
satisfaction from the pursuit of active undertakings
using their abilities to improvise and create in a
physical way. They are not afraid to try new activities
in order to lead the way for others. They have a great
deal of drive and initiative.
A strong temper can be a challenge. When they cannot
find the words to handle a situation, they literally
"see red" and want to strike out in a physical
way to express their anger. When they are challenged in
this way, it is frustrating for them not to be able to
find the words to handle confrontational situations.
Yet, when they are relaxed with people, they can be very
witty because of the straightforward way they look at
life’s experiences.
This name causes weaknesses in the senses of the
head. They could suffer from eye, sinus, or ear
troubles, or experience headaches, and even accidents to
the head.

potential purpose, your personality, the characteristics of your family
name, and the types of experiences you will attract in

Questions?
What is the relationship
of mind, language, and potential?
All life represents the abstract power of reason
involving into finite expression and evolving through
the law of growth. Inasmuch as language and mind are
inseparable, the power of language through mind
represents the greatest potential power in the universe.
Language is the only means in life through which life
becomes conscious of itself. Being the basis for the
creation and operation of mind, language represents the
abstract power of reason expressing on the mental plane
above the instinctive emotional plane, which controls all
animate life below the human species.
Mind, if balanced through
name and concept, lifts us above the dictates of
instinct and feeling. Humanity has the potential to be
governed by logic and reason through the development of
more universal and harmonious thinking. To fulfil this
potential, mind must understand the laws of being, and
apply them.
The Kabalarian Philosophy
teaches the duality of life comprising an abstract
origin or cause and the finite expression of this cause.
This abstract cause, the reason or plan of life, comes
into finite expression through the natural and mental
laws, and motivates all living forms. In humanity, this
abstract reason expresses through the symbology of
language to be the intelligent force behind mental
expression. With education, refinement, discipline, and
growth, mental expression becomes wisdom, the highest
manifestation of the power of language in life. This is
why we hold language sacred. It is the vehicle for
consciousness.

If you were a gardener,
would you ignore the correct time to sow your
seeds? If the captain of a vessel, would you
ignore weather phenomena and the seasons relative?
If an astronomer, would you ignore the times of eclipse
or the cycle of certain planets that appear and reappear
according to mathematical computation? Then why
ignore such a law in your personal life, and work
without guidance? "To everything there is a
season, and a time to every purpose under the
heaven" (Ecclesiastes 3:1), and this applies to
everyone's life regardless, for we are all born into
time and governed by it consciously or
otherwise.
What creates nervous
tension, worries, and nervous breakdowns in business
people, but waiting for the unexpected, hoping for the
best, and receiving the worst: that sale that did
not prove successful, the sudden depression in business
that was so unexpected, and so on without end? It
is not always so much what people know but what they do
not know and have not prepared for. These are the
nemeses of business careers.
With the help of nature's
laws, many of the major worries of business could
be eliminated, and allow time for more balanced
expression of life. Allow nature to work for you;
learn to understand the cyclic law that your efforts may
grow in conformity to time as does the plant. We
now live in the time of discovery. Never discount
what you do not understand. Keep abreast of the
times and stay healthy and

The Life Analysis
Training seminar teaches the basics of name
analysis and gives an overview of the principles of the
Kabalarian Philosophy. There may be no magic wand but
there are principles you can discover that will actually
transform your life. Each person has a birthpath, a
potential to fulfil in life. Discover how to express
your potential and how your name affects your
personality, experiences, and state of health.
Success is possible!
If you have taken Life
Analysis Training, you are eligible to enrol in Cycle
Management Training or Healthy Living.
In the Cycle
Management Training seminar, you will learn a
practical understanding of the Cyclic Law, which is the
relationship of time, mathematics, and human mind.
You will explore the qualitative nature of time and how
it influences your thinking and feelings, how cycles can
be used to accomplish your goals and make you even more
effective in your personal, business, and your family
life.
In the Healthy
Living seminar, you will learn the relationship
between the qualities of the numbers and health
weaknesses. You will also learn the effect that
emotional feelings and thoughts have on physical health
and mental well-being. This course will give you a
broader understanding of mind and its influence upon
your thinking and the physical body--an important factor
in creating optimum, vital, good health.
If you are unable to
attend the seminar program, enrol in the course by
correspondence. You will also be entitled to attend
future seminars. Call us
